Wayside’s Board of Directors appoints Amy Morgan Chief Executive Officer

“For over 60 years Wayside has been a leader in our community for women and families struggling with addiction. Wayside will continue our unwavering commitment to serving women healing from substance use and trauma. As widespread opiate, fentanyl and substance use is increasing in our communities, I recognize more than ever the responsibility we have in recovery.”

-Amy Morgan

Morgan has over 20 years of operations and executive leadership experience in the behavioral health industry in Minnesota. She had a 15-year tenure in several divisions of RS EDEN, a local non-profit organization, including the Director of Business and Development. She has always called Minnesota home, growing up in St. Anthony Village and graduating from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. She now lives in Cottage Grove with her husband, 18-year-old triplets, and 2 dogs.

“As a leader, I understand that success or failure rests on the quality of your relationships with others,” she said. “I invest heavily in building and deepening professional relationships and take a collaborative approach to achieving organizational goals. We do important work and improving individuals’ lives is always how I view success.”

Morgan’s passion for Wayside’s mission and her focus on results-driven organizational development and operational management success makes her the clear choice for the next Chief Executive Officer of Wayside Recovery Center. Wayside Board Chair and Wells Fargo’s Vice President of Wealth & Investment Management, Lori Hoefener, says, “Amy shows great passion for Wayside’s mission and a strong belief in how we help women and their children break the cycle of addiction and trauma. She is a strong leader in our community with extensive knowledge of the behavioral health field and the challenges our sector faces. We are excited to welcome her and look forward to working alongside her to ensure Wayside continues to be a strong cornerstone of this community for the next 70 years.” Wayside’s Board of Directors and staff are honored to welcome Amy Morgan to Wayside Recovery Center on March 27, 2023.

“I’m ready to work hard alongside our dedicated staff to support the thousands of women, children and families who walk through our doors each year.”
