Center of Belonging
In 2019, our vision to create a community recovery center—one where women, children and families can access the support they need for long-term stability—evolved into a joint partnership with Ace in the City and Emerge Mother’s Academy to create the Center of Belonging.
CENTER OF BELONGING
The Center of Belonging is an inclusive community space in South Minneapolis that offers foundational life supports and services central to health and wellbeing, including:
- Peer recovery support
- Individual and family therapy
- Employment readiness
- Food assistance
- Community recovery meetings
- Youth activities
- Health fairs and screenings
- Drop-in childcare while you access services
- Comprehensive mental health and substance use disorder assessments
Community Partnership
The Center of Belonging is in the lower level of the historic Aldrich Presbyterian Church (3501 Aldrich Ave). The participating partners strive to provide community members with options for youth programming, employment readiness, mental and chemical health assessment and treatment and food security services.
